I can say, without a doubt, that the Worn & Wound team looks forward to our NYC and San Francisco Windup Watch Fairs more than pretty much anything else through the year. It’s a rare time where we get to see some of our favorite brands, and the people behind them, all in one place. We also get to meet A TON of our readers and learn more about you and your collections. Sadly, 2020 hasn’t allowed us to host an in-person event and it’s looking like we won’t be able to for the rest of the year.
A few months ago, we came together as a team and thought about what we wanted a “Virtual” Windup to look and feel like. We asked ourselves, “What do the brands want? What do our readers want? What’s going to make the best event for everyone?” We came to the conclusion that, at the end of the day, the Windup Watch Fair is all about great products. It’s about seeing a watch for the first time in person that you’ve only seen online. It’s about hearing directly from the brand owners and representatives what went into their latest release. It’s about getting our readers in front of the products you love.
So, with that in mind, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be hosting a Virtual Windup Watch Fair on November 14-25 that’s all about sharing new and interesting products with you. Taking place over 12 days in November, the Virtual Windup Watch Fair will takeover Worn & Wound with daily product releases, video interviews, podcasts, and more. All Fair content will also be hosted on a dedicated Windup micro-site that will serve as a home to videos, podcasts, and product announcements launched via the Windup Watch Fair.
Throughout the Virtual Fair, we’ll have several new product launches (sorry, can’t share any details yet), video interviews with some of our favorite brands accompanied by hands-on footage of their latest releases, behind the scenes looks at the watchmaking process, and a whole lot more.
As always, the Windup Watch Fair wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors, without who’s support Windup just wouldn’t be the same. The showcase will be a database of new and interesting products highlighted throughout the Fair from participating brands, so you can easily browse all of the latest watch releases. We’re excited to make this new feature a part of all future in-person Windup Watch Fairs, so folks who can’t attend in person can still check out the latest and greatest. This feature isn’t live quite yet, but check back to the event site in the coming weeks to check out all of the latest and greatest from Virtual Windup participants.
