There’s a euphoric moment in the video editing process – after all the cuts have been made, the audio has been mixed, the color has been corrected, you’re happy with the final product – when you finally hit “export.” It’s the end of a journey, a weight is lifted, and you can get on with your life.
Here’s to hitting export on 2020.
But before we stick a fork in it, let’s pause for a few minutes and review what was a pretty great, albeit sometimes challenging, year in video. This was the year, after all, that we revisited Barry Jones as he was reunited with his (re-born) Tudor Sub. It was also the year we finally had a female guest (and Real Housewife) on Talking Watches. In 2020, we saw more Week On The Wrist, Reference Points, and Three on Three content from our resident band of watch experts: Jack Forster, Stephen Pulvirent, Jon Bues, James Stacey, Cole Pennington, and Danny Milton. And on top of all that, it was also the year that we launched a new series starring you: My Watch Story.
It all came together in the videos you see below because of the creative vision and hard work – under sometimes difficult circumstances – of the video team: Grey Korhonen, Dave Aujero, and Shahed Khaddash, as well as contributing producer Samuel Grandchamp.
And yes, we hear you loud and clear – you want more Talking Watches. While the realities of 2020 made producing those difficult, we’ve been busy lining up a who’s who of collectors for the series. We’re also thinking bigger these days, and look forward to sharing some new projects in 2021 and beyond.
Until then, please enjoy our Top 10 Videos of 2020.
